My sister and I enjoy creating these FABULOUS things called "diaper cakes". Basically, these are decorative (non-edible) cake-shaped centerpieces for babyshowers. This one happens to be made with a bottle of champagne (in the core) and rolled diapers around the bottle in the middle. Usually diapercakes are built with things a mom can use for her baby like bottles, nipples, diapers, formula, etc... This first picture represents a work in progress. The last two are the "finished products".
I don't know where the pictures are, but for my sister's baby shower, I made her a Taj Mahal diaper cake (which we affectionately refer to as the Diaper Mahal). If I can find a pic, I'll post that too. This started as a hobby, but we are looking to expand it to a small side business. So let me know if you need one!...or simply just let me know what your thoughts about our creation.

These look absolutely wonderful! Much different than what I was imagining - though I'm not exactly sure what I WAS imagining! I think this would be a killer side business! Are those Pampers or cloth diapers?

@ Wandering Coyote: Thank you! We are hoping that this will turn into a cozy side business. The way we are doing this is asking the people their preference of diapers, formulas, etc... and making them with those items. In this example, we used Pampers Swaddlers. Actually, Pampers are all we have used so far. Think it would be interesting to do one out of cloth diapers though!
